Who is Aphrodite?

Welcome to my new blog. I plan to post different events of my life here so that you can get to know me better. My birth name is Christie Janelle Czajkowski and I am host of TruthBrigade Radio on American Freedom Radio, Monday through Friday, 7-9 PM central time.

If you listen to the show, you already know what kind of topics I like to discuss. But if you haven't visited our show, I would like to encourage you to do so if you are interested in learning about self sufficiency, learning how to be more responsible and live a more empowered life.
You can view the calender of upcoming shows here or get the archives here or here.

Now, who is Aphrodite and why am I changing my name?

First off, Aphrodite Christina was my grandmother from Greece with a beautiful family line dating back over 4,000 years. She was not only beautiful and talented, but also very wise. In fact in the short time I knew her, I learned more from her than any other one person in my life.
I wish of course I would have remember everything she tried to teach me, but when you're 12 you have much better things to do than listen to your grandmother...so, I missed out.

She was the closest person to me in my "family" and endured great torture and persecution in her dedication to the truth...had I known back then what I know now...

Many of you know I am somewhat sensitive about my name...besides the fact that it's really long and no one can pronounce it, it is also cause for much pain, which I choose to erase from my life.

I came across a book the other day from Kevin J Todeschi where he says,
In the Ancient world a persons name was symbolic of the individuals existence. According to Sir James George Frazer, author of the Golden Bough one of the most extensive volumes on world mythology there was such a bond between ones name and ones existence "that magic may be wrought on a man just as easily as through his name as through his hair, his nails, or any other material part of his person." In ancient Egypt, to blot a persons name out of the record was equivalent to destroying the fact that he or she had ever existed.
My studies have shown me that it is best to remove negative frequencies from ones life, as to tune out from that frequency. It is something that has worked wonders for me and my personal journey and has opened a whole new world, yet this name that causes so much pain and misfortune is still there. It is time to remove the chains that bind me.

As a child born in to this world, we have no say in what name we are given, yet we just accept names that may or may not resonate with us just as most people accept labels to categorize them and their beliefs, ie republican, democrat, liberal, libertarian, etc. I personally do not do well with labels. How can you sum up a person, an individual unique creation, everything about them in one word? YOU CAN'T! So why are we accepting this?

So, why do we have to accept and hold on to these names if for some reason it is painful or does not resonate well with our frequencies? We don't have to stay in the box society creates for us! It is okay to be an individual and honor that divine uniqueness given to us.

I am a full grown woman and have decided after many years of contemplation it is time to leave ALL behind that doesn't serve me peace. The name given to me at birth does not fit in to my goals, therefore it is time to kick it to the curb.

I have decided to take on my wise and loving grandmothers name, not only to give her honor, but honor to the truth that has been hidden from us for thousands of years. As I mentioned before, this is something I have always contemplated, but it is only now that I feel I could bring honor to her name and her purpose and shed some light on the truth within and the spirit that leads me. She was born Aphrodite Christina, my first name taken after her, so I am going to take her first name and add it to mine, Christie as to complete the circle.
From this day forward I do not recognize Czajkowski as part of me. I care not to carry on a name that is the source of much difficulty, pain and outright evil. From this day forward I choose the name Christie Aphrodite.

A little pronunciation clarification: Aphrodite is NOT pronounced "Afro-die-di"
It is "Afro-vi-ti" :-)

Through this transformation in my life I am forging through my fears that have limited me. My intent is to share this with you in hopes that you can learn from my mistakes and to bring some humanity to our human so called shortcomings. I am honored to share the continuous magic and abundant beauty of Creation evident in my experiences.

Thank you for being a part of this path and realization.
